Our Mission!

Empire Orange Publishing aims to highlight and elevate the voices, talent, and beauty of individuals in spaces that are often overlooked, undervalued, and/or misrepresented. In addition to spotlighting creatives, Empire Orange Publishing also recognized the important of representation, especially for our youth. It is critical that our youth are exposed to characters, settings, experiences, and various cultural entities that are reflective of themselves. Additionally, those that are representative of the diverse and culturally rich world that we are a part of. When our youth are able to see themselves and connect with a text, it not only helps them develop a strong sense of identity, but also fosters engagement, which can lead to a deep love of literacy!
